Gah! You know a wedding was good when it seems impossible to narrow down the highlights for the blog. Angela & Sebastien met as teenagers when they were participants of the Katimavik program, their relationship grew over the years and they finally tied the knot two weeks ago in front of family and friends from across the country. To say the least, Angela & Sebastien’s wedding was beautiful. The backdrop of Deer Lake and the grounds of the Hart House Restaurant created the perfect outdoor venue. Angela spent hours upon hours handcrafting her paper bouquets and boutonnieres made from pages of an old Harry Potter book and their theme was honoured by a local owl who swept in and perched on an overhanging branch to observe the family portraits. As if the venue itself wasn’t enough we snuck away to Burnaby Village to capture a few photos with the bridal party. The reception capped off with a perfect their first dance – probably one of my favourites that I’ve shot! They didn’t need anything fancy like a choreographed dance, but simply had their guests surround the dance floor to blow bubbles creating an intimate gathering with gorgeous natural light streaming in and the sparkling chandeliers above. I wish these two all the best as newlyweds!
