It was a gorgeous spring day for Bryan and Andrea’s Hart House wedding. The grand heritage house turned restaurant sits on the waterfront of Deer Lake Park in Burnaby, BC and is a fabulous and sought after wedding venue due to its excellent food, stunning location, and vista. The decor was understated elegance. Andrea cultivates succulents and grew and arranged all the beautiful centrepieces in wooden boxes.
Initially, Andrea was planning a small, simple, and unconventional wedding. Maybe they’d elope to Tofino and she could wear a purple dress. Well, all that changed with the help of a friend and coworker. The dream grew and the venue became the Hart House where they’d have a beautiful outdoor ceremony; she opted for a white dress and even decided to hire a photographer ;) And it was all so worth it. As easy, fun and intimate an elopement would have been, they wouldn’t have been able to share such an amazing day with their loved ones. Their family and gregarious friends came from near and far to celebrate with them, witness their commitment to each other and were there to see the tears that ran down Andrea’s face as they exchanged vows.
