A few weeks ago I met with Adrian, Meghan and their son, Charlie, in historic Steveston, not far from their new home to photograph their family maternity session.  Last year they bought a new house that was still under construction and they had to live with family until it was completed. I’m sure it was stressful to live in limbo for months but in the end it was all worthwhile.  They have recently moved in and are nice and settled before the arrival of the new addition to their family, coming in the next couple of months.

This new chapter in their story prompted Meghan to want to capture this time in their lives with a family maternity session. It was gorgeous day, perfect for exploring their new neighbourhood and for our photo shoot.  It didn’t take three-year-old Charlie long to warm up, before we knew it he was singing us “row, row, your boat” and telling me all about Paw Patrol. He really lit up when reminded that they were going to get ice cream after we were done.  I loved documenting his scraped knees – it’s so true of childhood.

I look forward to seeing them in a few months when they welcome their new baby boy or girl.  Stay tuned to the blog for their upcoming in-home newborn session!
